As the project nears full subscription, the minimum investment for locals has been reduced to $100 to ensure that as many members of the local community as possible have the opportunity to become shareholder in this historic project.
The Chairman of Hepburn Wind, Simon Holmes à Court said, "All of us involved in Hepburn Wind have never lost sight of the fact that this is a community project. Before we close off the fundraising we wanted to be sure that participation was within the reach of as many locals as possible." The $1,000 minimum will remain for non-locals.
Locals includes:
- Residents (permanent or part time) of the Hepburn Shire
- Residents of a property within 30 km of Leonards Hill (includes Ballarat)
- Members of climate action groups in Central Victoria
- Individuals with a strong personal connection to the community, for example those who visit regularly, have family in the area, are employed in the region or have previously been a resident.
